RARAOMT, in less than fifteen hundred characters.
One game, one audience, one set of rules — and a couple of pictures from the workshop.
where the platform was sketched out before any code happened
RARAOMT was built in a small garage-bay-of-an-office in Pointe-aux-Trembles, on the east end of Montreal, across two summers. The first summer was spent throwing out ideas: a sprawling lobby with a dozen reskinned slot games, a daily-bonus carousel, a level system with badges, a referral programme, a loyalty token. By the end of August every one of those features had been deleted from the document. What remained was a single observation — that nobody we knew actually wanted another social-casino lobby.
So the brief flipped. Pick one game, build it well, give it a coat of paint that means something. The paint, in our case, was motorbike racing. The mechanic on the bench in the photo above rides on weekends; the tank decals he was working on that afternoon ended up as the visual reference for two of the symbols on the RacingMOTO reels. The second photo, on the right, is the workshop window we stared at for most of the writing sessions.
The platform that came out of that process is deliberately narrow. There is one game. The points awarded by that game cannot be exchanged for anything of value, ever — that is a permanent operating policy and not a current limitation. There is no account creation, no email signup, no chat, no social feed, no newsletter, no daily login bonus, no premium currency, no VIP tier and no leaderboard. Every visitor gets the same starting balance and hits the same maths model on the reels. The 18+ gate is enforced on every session because the visual language of slot mechanics is treated as adult content in most jurisdictions, even when no money changes hands.
most of the writing on this site was done facing it
That's the platform. If you want the long version with the boring legal bits, the terms page has them. If you want to ride the reels for twenty minutes, the game is one click away.
